Loved this. I’ve been fasting yet so frustrated that I wake up multiple times in the middle of the night. I’m going to try to eat protein or fat before bed and if I wake up at 1:00am, etc. Which I do pretty much every night. Maybe ultra fat would be a good choice to have by my bedside for 1:00am, etc? Would that be too heavy or a good choice? Thanks!

Hey Carol! I feel you on the middle-of-the-night wake ups! What Dr. Daniels was indicating was to have a protein/fat snack right before bed so that you don't have a blood sugar dip, which can wake you up in the night without realizing why. Try to have your ultra fat before bed and see how that works to help you stay asleep throughout the night, and let us know!

This was AMAZING! Will be listening to again... And again. Loved the check list. Fasting is NOT an option for me right now. What would be specific labs to ask my doctor for? The waking up at night portion helped me SO much!

Really interesting. I may have to re-evaluate what I am doing - I also thought labs would be a good idea to see where I am so have been trying to get Kaiser to do those for me. I may reach out - thanks for having Alexis on!
