Even as I watch the coverage of hurricane Ian, the rest of the country is descending into autumn (hope y’all are safe and sound, FLA!).
This week’s installment has THREE new dip recipes and a round-up of everything Pumpkin linked below to bring out the Basic PSL B inside us.
Dips Make The World Go Round
First, we’ve got NEW dip recipes, brought to us from the delightful founders of OMG! Pretzels, a female owned company making specialty, premium pretzel bites. They got their hands on our Eat Happy Kitchen spices and made some tasty, NSNG friendly dips.
Now, I know the focus of my material is low carb, and I understand that most of you reading this will pair these dips with veggies, pork rinds, or Almond Flour Pita Chips from Eat Happy. But if you live with a carb eater or are throwing a party, I’m a realist and understand folks around you will consume carbs. Loren has been popping these OMG! pretzels with gusto.
Here are the dips (all are NSNG friendly):
Veggie Dill Dip
Tex Mex Dip
BBQ White Bean Hummus
Links to all three dip recipes are here, along with pretzel pairings.
A big thanks to Tali and Stephanie from OMG! Pretzels for sharing these great recipes with us! I’m ready to make these for football Thursday, Sunday, AND Monday…
We All Scream for Fall Food
October is nigh.
Get your pumpkins! Hang your skeleton decorations! Dust off the slow cooker!
We need all the fall foods to get us in the mood, so here’s a round-up…
I’ll start with savory recipes and end with sweet. As usual, I offer up the sweet recipes made with the least amount of sugar possible to make the recipe work. You can omit the sugar altogether or use your preferred sweetener. I’m not the carb police, and you are an adult who gets to choose what goes in your body.
And as a mom, I like writing lower sugar, grain free versions of holiday favorites because, Lord knows, our kids are pelted with processed foods outside the home. Let’s make a nice homemade treat with our kids that use high quality ingredients.
Some of these recipes use the Pumpkin Marinara from Eat Happy Kitchen. Or you can make it from scratch from the recipe in Eat Happy Too.
Without further disclaimers…let’s get to the fall feels!!
Sausage and Ricotta with Pumpkin Marinara (pictured above)
Fall Pizza (aka Pork Rind Pizza Crust with Shrooms, Pumpkin Marinara, and Herbs
Pumpkin Spice Lattes (made with no sugar)
Dark Chocolate Dipped Apple Slices
Pumpkin Bars with Cream Cheese Frosting OR Maple Walnut Glaze
Dang, that’s a LOT of pumpkin.
XOXO and see you in Rocktober…

“Hey, how come people don't have dip for dinner? Why is it only a snack -- why can't it be a meal, you know? I don't understand stuff like that.” - David Puddy, Facepainter
