I’m off to Marina Del Rey and West Hills, CA today to demo sauces at Pavilions. It’s my favorite day of the week when I get to go out and get people to try my sauces. I love driving and listening to audiobooks and podcasts, returning phone calls to people i’m way behind in catching up with. Then I get to hang out in my favorite public space—a grocery store—and feed strangers. Seeing the looks on people’s faces when they taste the sauce is a triumphant feeling. And then when they put a jar in their basket, I am over the moon.
I wish I could clone myself and my team so we could go to every store we’re in every Saturday. It’s a daunting task to try to convert people from their tried and true brand (usually Rao’s) to Eat Happy Kitchen. But we’re committed to doing as much as we can as often as we are able.
The rest of the movement is being spread through word of mouth, which involves YOU, and I thank you for that, deeply, from the bottom of my heart.
For you Premium Subscribers who foot the bill over here at Substack, you’re gonna love this recipe for Creamed Spinach Smothered Pork Chops. Not only is it a one-dish meal so you don’t have to dirty so so many pans, it’s got a creamed-spinach-on-the-fly component that you can use in other dishes. Try this over steaks, chicken, or even a hearty white fish like halibut.
