I was floored, and I am so honored that Startup CPG chose our Puttanesca sauce as the winner out of all this year’s sauces to be the Shelfie awards winner.
This business has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, and to get recognized for having a great sauce is the balm I didn’t even know I needed. I mean, I’m completely biased and think our sauces and spices are amazing, but to have the external recognition is so wonderful.
And BIG shout out to Startup CPG—if you are thinking about starting a food company (or health, beauty, supplements, pet care, etc.), make sure you join their community. Their resources have cut years off my learning curve.
Quick grocery store update:
Our sauces are now available in all Roche Brothers (New England) and all Foodtowns (NJ, RI, and NY). In two weeks, our sauce will be on the shelf at all Fresh Thyme markets, so if you were one of the folks who diligently wrote to Fresh Thyme requesting our sauces, THANK YOU.
Pumpkin Marinara is now available and on shelf at all Heinen’s (OH) and Raley’s (NorCal and NV).
Our sauces are available at over 250 other stores, so please check out our site to see if we’re at a store near you. We are continuing our relentless pitching of grocery store buyers, but we ALWAYS have sauce available on our website too.

I treated myself to a new Le Creuset braising pot that was deeply discounted over at the kitchen Mecca known as Sur La Table.
I knew immediately I needed to braise some chicken thighs in this gorgeous pot. I wasn’t wrong. I’ve now made this dish a half a dozen times, and I get more and more obsessed with the flavor every time I make it.
